1st/2nd Core Science

The 1st/2nd Grade Core Science and Bible class meets on Thursdays from 11:10 am until 12:10 pm. This science course walks through the days of creation and will encourage your student’s curiosity through scientific exploration, investigations, and biblically inspired stories. Themed topics include the water cycle, light, the earth’s layers, plants, the moon, birds, animal habitats, and much more!  Students will occasionally need to finish work at home that was not completed during class.

This class is for 1st and 2nd Grade students. First Grade students must be 6 years old by September 1, 2024.

Sample Daily Schedule:

11:05-11:10 Transition from Core ELA/Math
11:10-11:25 Bible Study
11:25-12:10 Science  

This is a faith-based class and is a part of our 1st/2nd Grade Core Program. You will need to enroll your child in our 1st/2nd Grade Core ELA/Math class and our 1st/2nd Grade Core Social Studies class in addition to this class. This was done so that families could get reimbursed for non-religious classes like Math and Language Arts. Tuition: The cost of this one-hour per week class is $160 per semester, plus a $10 materials fee per semester.

Instructor accepts Venmo @christyhkinder (preferred), cash, or check to cover the $10 per semester class supply fee.
