1st/2nd Core Social Studies

Welcome to 1st/2nd Grade Core Social Studies and Bible! This class meets on Tuesdays from 11:10 am until 12:10 pm. We will explore social studies and geography topics ranging from local cities to places throughout the world! Our class will experience basic introductions to history, politics, economics, and sociology during this course.  Students will occasionally need to finish work at home that was not completed during class. The Where Faith Grows Bible study curriculum will help our class cultivate a living faith in God and Christ-like character. Students will interact with Scripture and learn Biblical principles through hymns, art, poetry, and character studies. Colorful pages, engaging activities, and key truth flashcards will make learning about God fun.  

First Grade Students: 6 years old by September 1, 2024

Second Grade Students: 7 years old by September 1, 2024

11:05-11:10 Transition from ELA/Math
11:10-11:25 Bible Study
11:25-12:10 Social Studies 

This is a faith-based class and is part of our 1st/2nd Grade Core program. You will need to enroll your child in our 1st/2nd Grade Core ELA/Math class and our 1st/2nd Grade Core Science class in addition to this class. This was done so that families could get reimbursed for non-religious classes like Math and Language Arts. Tuition: $160 per semester, plus a $10 supply fee per semester.

Instructor accepts Venmo @christyhkinder (preferred), cash, or check to cover the $10 per semester class supply fee.
