American Sign Language
Welcome to my ASL class at Ethos Academy! I am excited to have you with us for some fun ASL time!
This course is not graded, and does not require books or materials.
The $15 per semester material fee will be used towards materials provided by the teacher.
Students will engage in interactive activities, games, exercises and videos while learning sign language to develop basic communication skills with the deaf community.
Teacher will provide materials and handouts as needed for that week's lesson.
Teacher will lay the foundation for developing vocabulary and creating sentences. Students will learn how to carry a 2 way conversation.
Each week, teacher will choose a topic that introduces comprehension vocabulary and sentences to enrich basic communication skills to successfully communicate with deaf people..
Expectations will be adapted according to each child's age and level of signing. Students with prior experience can practice their skills with each other during game and free time, and may be asked to assist other students.
Students will be given handouts, so can bring a folder, binder, or some place to keep these handouts and use them both at home and in class.
Course Fees:
Fees for this 1-hour extracurricular foreign language course are due at beginning of each semester:
Tuition: $200 (per semester)

Paid directly to Ethos Academy through the Learning Management System upon registration
Parents will enroll in classes and set up their chosen payment method (either pay in full or monthly) via Bank ACH
