Calling all fans of Hatchet, Bear Grylls, Survivor or just being out in nature!
The Great Outdoors: Survival Skills class teaches students basic survival skills while learning team work and leadership skills. Through hands on activities, games and crafts the class will be focusing on "Please Remember What's First: Protection > Rescue > Water > Food.” . Challenging scenarios and teamwork exercises allow students to practice these skills and learn how to put them into use. During the cold weather months, we will also be going through a couple of the Bear Grylls Survival Challenge books. Throughout the course, students will also gain an appreciation for God’s intricate creation and the provisions he has provided for us in nature.
