Hi there! 
My name is Lynette Claypool and I am thrilled to be a part of Ethos Academy!  I have been an instructor for several years with ILA Meridian and I am excited to continue teaching with the Hybrid Model as a Christian educator at Ethos. I look forward to this school year and the students who will be making such an impact for God’s Kingdom! 

Here is a little bit about me…My educational background includes teaching online as well as face to face in the traditional classroom setting. I am certified to teach English (ELA) and have experience instructing a variety of core and elective courses. My interests include backpacking, alpine skiing, camping, quilting, and reading. Actually, I enjoy just about any activity that gets me outside and into the mountains!!

My husband and I moved to Boise, Idaho from Fairbanks, Alaska almost 18 years ago! We met in Fairbanks working as wildland firefighters with the Alaska Fire Service. When we made the decision to get married, it was time to hang up my firefighting hat and I went back to school to pursue a post-baccalaureate degree and completed the requirements to be a state-certified English teacher. We moved to Boise soon after our son was born and my daughter was born three years later! Our son is 18 years old and our daughter is 15! 

Our family enjoys the many opportunities Idaho has to offer with beautiful mountains and amazing wilderness areas. I am excited to be a teacher with Ethos and I look forward to working with students to develop a love for learning and to guide them as they discover new gifts and skills. It is my desire to walk in the footsteps of Jesus and I hope that my love for Christ and His Word is evident in my life and that I can encourage young people in their own faith walk!
