Jonathan Pappas is an entrepreneur, software developer, author, mathematician, and artist/maze enthusiast. He is excited to be sharing his love of math, logic, and programming with Ethos Academy. He is the Executive Director of Unusually Brilliant Adventures, which focuses on offering redemptive, educational programs and materials. He has been teaching in areas of math, programming and astronomy for the past couple of years to Junior High through College Level students. He's a firm believer in sharing the love of learning to students of all ages, and how it points to God.

He began homeschooling in high school and fell in love with it. He is now homeschooling through college, with an emphasis in Number Theory, Euclidean Geometry, and Classical Math History. Jonathan loves to study Ancient Greek manuscripts and give them new life. His book, The Philosophy of Numbers, is a fresh way to learn mathematics with the lens of history in a graphic novel format and was debuted at the ACCSI Conference in Dallas, summer of 2022.

Coding is a delight for Jonathan, and Maze Jam, his iOS App, published in 2018 has over 100,000 downloads worldwide. Mr. Pappas' Maze Jam combines original art and music as well as character, game and graphic design.

He has worked with the Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose as an exhibitor and an Artist in Residence.  His art exhibit, "It's A-Maze-ing: The Art of mazes" and multi-level hands on workshop was enjoyed by hundreds of families.  He was awarded an Editor's choice Blue Ribbon at the Bay Area Maker Fair in 2019 and invited to co-author an article on Homeschooling for Make: magazine in 2020.

He also loves to play basketball, board games, and binge on Tolkien with friends and family!
