Michele Ivers
Hello!🤗 My name is Michele Ivers. I am a veteran homeschooler and certified classroom teacher. Participating in and serving the homeschool community became a passion of mine when I began homeschooling my own children many years ago. I have taught children, facilitated monthly homeschool support meetings for parents, served as the facilities coordinator for annual homeschool conferences, and was on the board of directors for a large Christian home education organization in Northern California. After homeschooling my own children, I headed back into the classroom where I taught high school science and then upper elementary core classes at a private Christian school.
Although born in Idaho, I was raised in a small country town in Southern California. After marrying my college sweetheart and starting a family in Northern California, my husband and I felt it was time for me to return “home” to Idaho to raise our boys. In addition to spending as much time with friends and family as possible, I enjoy reading about health and engaging in outdoor activities such as gardening, camping, kayaking, and snow skiing.
I am excited to be starting another year with the ETHOS community. I understand firsthand the joys and struggles associated with home education, and just as so many did for me, I am thrilled to come alongside to support and encourage you wherever I can in your homeschooling journey. I am looking forward to building a relationship with you as you begin, or continue, your own wonderful and unique adventure in home education.
