Welcome to Batch Baking (1-12)!
Cooking and learning in the kitchen is a fun and delicious life-skill. This fun and tasty class is geared toward our culinary artists in 1st through 12th grade. This weekly opportunity to cook and bake together will include praying for each other and those who will receive our weekly "gift-batch". We will have an opportunity to give to our community, while taste-testing a batch in class beforehand. This "batch" may include a tray of savory bites, a breakfast/dinner casserole, a dessert, etc.
Because of our faith-based content, this class is not considered charter school friendly.
This class will be held every Thursday from 2:10 PM to 3:10 PM. Students enrolled in this course will be enrolled for both semesters.
My goal in this course is to foster communication and teamwork in the kitchen,, while creating meaningful meals and desserts. At the end of the year, our collection of scrumptious recipes will be collected in personalized recipe binders. My hope is to see confidence grow, along with an eagerness to.reach out with appreciative and giving hearts.
The kitchen is a peanut-free zone during all cooking classes.

I look forward to our chats and conversations. During class days, please allow up to 24 hours for a response to an email, as the students will be my top priority during class time. I welcome questions, alerts if a student is absent, or a request for a longer conversation at a convenient time. These can be in the form of a quick text or email, and will be answered after the close of the school day. Thank you!
