Welcome to The Art of Baking! This elective class is for 6th through 8th grade students who want to strengthen various cooking and baking skills. Through a variety of recipes and creative projects, chefs will work on following recipes of choice, as well as on more complex team projects. Some yummy samples will be shared with others. At the end of the school year, each student will have a portfolio of creations and experiences as a chef.
We will meet on Tuesdays, from 11:10AM - 12:10PM Students enrolled in this course will be enrolled for the entire year.
Please note: This is a nut-free classroom.
KITCHEN ETIQUETTE:
Students need to be on time and avoid wearing loose sleeves or long accessories. We will be working with heat and kitchen equipment, so long hair needs to be tied back before entering the kitchen.

REQUIRED MATERIALS:
Please bring the following on the first day of class. All cooking supplies and ingredients will be provided by the teacher, using the material fee.
1 apron or T-shirt
Victorinox Swiss Army Fibrox Pro 6-Inch Chef’s Knife This knife will last your young chef for years to come, and will be returned to your student at the end of the course.

PAYMENT METHODS & SCHEDULE:
This one hour course tuition is $200/semester plus a $110/semester material fee. All class tuition payments are paid directly to Ethos Academy through the Learning Management System upon registration. Parents will enroll in classes and set up their chosen payment method (either pay in full or monthly) via Bank ACH. The material fee is collected immediately upfront upon class registration as a deposit due at checkout. The material fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
