2025-2026 FALL SEMESTER

Photography (7-12)

Tue · 10:05am-11:05am

Elective Class

Class is Full

Overview

This will be a hands on photography class where students will learn the art of taking the perfect photo. Although there are many different editing options with phones and sophisticated digital cameras, the art of photography will always bring the photo to life. In this class students will be learning about how to use light and shadows to create a different mood. Students will also learn about patterns, distance from an object using zoom on the camera, backgrounds of a photo and so much more. Each student will be making a photo book as a demonstration of all that they have learned with a collection of their photos. Students will not be using cell phones due to the rule at Ethos that students may not have their phones on during class. Therefore, students will be using a digital camera as one of their supplies with an SD card. You can find digital cameras online that are not expensive. Please do not send an expensive camera . That is just scary. Please let me know if you are having difficulty finding one. I will be more than happy to send you a link.

Homework

This class may have some homework taking pictures of certain items outside of the classroom. Everything will be checked by me on the SD card to ensure that it is topic only photographs.

*If students would like to make their photo book in class they will need to bring a laptop when asked*
