Folktales and Fables
This class will feature stories handed down through many generations, sometimes by word-of-mouth and other times in writing. Their appeal to young readers makes them ideal focal points for learning and discussion!
Class time will be spent reading a story each week, participating in a class discussion, and completing a language arts-based writing activity and/or an art project that is at an age-appropriate level. This class will also include some rhymes and fairytales. This is a Literature Pockets course, and the instructor will keep student work folders at school. Students will bring home a folder full of work at the end of each semester. Want to know more about Literature Pockets?
