Reading and Spelling Intervention Class (Grades 3-6)
This intervention class is designed to support students in grades 3-6 who need additional assistance with reading and spelling skills. Through instruction, activities, and structured practice, students will build literacy skills necessary for success in the classroom and beyond.
Key Components:
Phonics: Focused instruction on suffixes, prefixes, root words, and syllables.
Spelling Strategies: Exploring standard spelling rules, patterns, and strategies to improve spelling retention and spelling skills.
Fluency Practice: Activities designed to help students read aloud confidently and accurately, focusing on pace, expression, comprehension, and tone.
Vocabulary Building: vocabulary instruction to broaden students’ understanding of words and their meanings to improve reading comprehension.
I aim to help students develop the skills to become independent and confident in reading and spelling.
